Earlier this summer, X-Play sent out a press release announcing that Will Ryder was in pre-production on Manson Family XXX, a “porn parody” about the horrific 1969 murder spree. A minor media frenzy ensued, and TMZ reported that the project had already inspired outrage and opposition.

Charles Manson will NOT be glorified in porn … so vows the sister of Sharon Tate.

Debra Tate [sister of murder victim Sharon Tate] is incensed over the impending casting of “Manson Family XXX” [....]

Adult film director Will Ryder — whose credits include “Not The Wizard of Oz XXX” — will cast Susan Atkins, Patricia Krenwinkel, Leslie Van Houten, Linda Kasabian, Charles “Tex” Watson, and others. Manson is the central figure who has sex with all of them.

PornParody.com generally approves of tasteless humor and a no-sacred-cows mentality in porn, but even we question whether this is a good idea. It doesn’t sound clever, just cruel and sad.

After that June 25 TMZ article, we hadn’t heard anything further and figured the project had been abandoned. Then yesterday (September 15), Will Ryder posted a trailer to YouTube:

The trailer contains no video footage, just a collage of static set photos. Nonetheless, it looks like X-Play really made this film and plans to release it soon.

The cast includes Sarah Vandella, Nadia Styles, Cassidy Klein, Maya Grand, Judas, Gaia, Kurt Lockwood, Eric John, Dick Chibbles, Jeremy Conway, Jack Vegas and “JS as Charles Manson”. AIFD lists Ryan Driller in the cast as well.

The world needs anarchists and pranksters willing to push the boundaries of free speech and acceptable taste. We’ll gladly defend Ryder and company’s right to make this film. But we’ll probably choose not to watch it.

Back in 1997 director Jim Powers, master of gonzo and parody alike, got fans ready with the all-girl football flick San Francisco 69’ers. Blurb: “It’s first down on the 69-yard line and 90 minutes left on the clock!” Close enough.

The roster included Heaven Leigh, Shawna Edwards, Shelbee Myne, Katie Gold, Caressa Savage, Candy Hill and Brooke Ashley.

In 1998, Powers and company followed up with San Francisco 69’ers vs the Green Bay Ass Packers

The cast this time around included Allysin Chaynes, Alyssa Allure, Doomy Moore, Gina Ryder, Gwen Summers, Inari Vachs, Raquel Devine, Regan Starr and Vanity Irons.

With 30 more NFL team names ripe for dirty puns, this series could have continued for a long time. Alas, that legendary SF-GB matchup was the last hurrah.

Two weeks ago, we touted Scarlet Witch vs Black Widow and Batwoman, a new “fetish parody” all-girl superhero cosplay flick from Anastasia Pierce Productions starring Anastasia Pierce.

Now the same team returns with The Black Cat vs Batwoman, starring Anastasia Pierce (again as superheroine Batwoman) battling Kendra James (as supervillainess The Black Cat).

The front cover bills it as a “fetish parody”, while the back cover goes with “superheroines lesbian parody”.

Action! Catfights! Bondage!

Cooking competition show BBQ Pitmasters gets the porn parody it deserves, BBQ Titmasters from Burning Angel.

In this version, tattooed Burning Angel girls Kleio Valentien, Necro Nicki and Sheena Rose prepare BBQ in the backyard, Joanna Angel hosts the competition, and Tommy Pistol, John Strong and Will Powers serve as the judging panel. Then they all move inside for post-BBQ sex. Maybe they sit around and let the BBQ digest before launching into the sex, it’s not clear. That’s what I would do.

In a long overdue overhaul of our Coming Soon page over the weekend, we deleted a bunch of old listings. These were mostly porn parody projects which had been announced or rumored but never actually released. We’re not sure how many of these were real in-development projects. In some cases, we suspect that studios were simply calling “dibs” on various parody targets to deter rival studios.

For the sake of preserving data for future porn historians, we present this master list of Porn Parodies That Never Got Made.

In 2010, Adam & Eve announced upcoming XXX parodies based on Nitro Circus, Chips and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, to be directed by David Lord. Though Lord has made several parodies for Adam & Eve and other studios since then, he never got around to these three titles.

From 2008 to 2011, Hustler churned out a series of Sarah Palin porn parodies — Who’s Nailin’ Paylin?, Obama’s Nailin’ Palin, Letterman’s Nailin’ Palin, etc. Meanwhile, when Tiger Woods’ marital problems hit tabloid headlines in late 2009, several porn studios rushed out Tiger Woods xxxploitation titles. During this craze, Hustler announced the mindblowing crossover project Tiger’s Nailin’ Palin. Sadly, they never hooked up.

In spring 2010, New Sensations announced upcoming porn parodies based on The A-Team, Harry Potter, 24, This is Spinal Tap, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Lost, all to be directed by in-house parody guru Lee Roy Myers. However, Myers left New Sensations later that year without having made any of these titles. Myers later directed Buffy the Vampire Slayer: A XXX Parody for Adam & Eve. Other studios/directors eventually covered The A-Team, Harry Potter and 24. To date, Spinal Tap and Lost remain untapped by porn parodists.

In December 2010, Adam & Eve announced a slate of parody films for 2011 based on Dallas, Porky’s, Knight Rider, Smokey and the Bandit, 9 ½ Weeks XXX, The Graduate and Goodfellas. Adam & Eve released Dallas XXX in 2012, then 9 ½ Weeks XXX in 2014. Another studio beat them to The Graduate XXX. The world still awaits Porky’s XXX, Knight Rider XXX, Smokey and the Bandit XXX and Goodfellas XXX.

Pleasure Dynasty planned an ambitious True Grit XXX to be directed by Jack the Zipper. The project had funding, a script, a cast and a poster. They planned to start shooting in fall 2011, but the project was abandoned due to budget overruns and failure to get location shooting permits.

Extreme Comixxx announced a casting call for Smallville XXX in May 2011. Superhero porn parodies remain popular, but this one never got made.

Vivid announced Bruce Lee XXX: A Porn Parody, starring Keni Styles in the title role and directed by Axel Braun, in February 2011. The title showed up on some industry release schedules later in 2011. A poster/box cover even appeared online. Then it all just vanished. Maybe Vivid kept it on the shelf, or maybe it was never completed.

Bluebird posted a trailer for Babe Runner (based on Blade Runner) in September 2011 for imminent DVD release date, but the film never appeared.

B. Skow planned Ferris Bueller’s Day Off XXX for Vivid in 2012, but he left Vivid before making this film.

Axel Braun was rumored to be working on Fantastic Four XXX for Vivid in 2011. Braun has made a bunch of superhero porn parodies since then, but hasn’t gotten around to the FF as yet. With the big Hollywood Fantastic Four reboot hitting theaters in summer 2015, we bet someone will give it a shot.

Sinister X Syndicate announced Rebel Without a Cause XXX with (naturally) James Deen playing the James Dean role. Never happened.

Sinister X Syndicate announced upcoming project Justice League 3DX in July 2012. XBiz reported, “Producer/director Rob Black said that he is staying true to the DC Comics reboot of The Green Lantern character as a gay superhero by having [gay pornstar Adam] Killian perform in one hardcore gay scene in the otherwise heterosexual porn movie.” Black (aka Sinister X) says, “Justice League 3DX is a straight movie. Evan Stone is Batman, Scott Lyons is Robin, Jennifer White is Wonder Woman and Lizzy Borden is Batwoman. It will have six boy/girl scenes and one full-on gay scene.” Never happened.

In early 2013 pornstar Kiara Mia planned to direct and star in a new Kardashians porn parody. Maybe it will still happen someday, but it’s been more than a year with no news.

In 2013 a new company called GrindHouse XXX Parody announced plans to make Machete XXX with Marco Banderas in the title role. Never happened.

Assence Films announced three porn parodies in the works in 2013-14. They said production had begun on Abercrombie & Bitch XXX in May 2013. They were allegedly in post-production on Fluke Me, “a raunchy political riff on the story of Sandra Fluke, the attorney-turned-politician who gained fame in 2012 when Rush Limbaugh called her a slut”, as of April 2014. And they announced Twins XXX for July 2014 release. We’re still waiting on all three.

So …

Some of these may get made someday, but none can honestly be labeled “coming soon” at this point.

Cinderella XXX: An Axel Braun Parody is now available on DVD, streaming and download. Samantha Saint plays the title role.

The Kink.com network of BDSM sites created a six-scene porn parody of science fiction camp classic Barbarella earlier this year. They staggered the scenes across six different sites over the course of a few weeks. Now the complete epic is available on DVD.

Lorelei Lee starred as Barbarella — the role originally made famous by Jane Fonda — throughout. Here’s the scene breakdown with links to teasers:

The last four years has been the Golden Age of superhero porn parody. Pornographers have methodically worked their way through the DC and Marvel canon, and every Hollywood superhero blockbuster has spawned at least one XXX knockoff.

The genre goes back a long way, of course. Charlie Jane Anders traced “the Bizarre History of Superhero Porn” at io9 a couple years ago, starting with Tijuana bibles from the 1940s featuring Superman and Plasticman. She also included kinky underground comics from later decades.

The first superhero porn parody feature film appears to be Bat Pussy (1973).

Bat Pussy is an incredibly strange film. It has achieved cult status as “the worst adult movie of all time” among ironic bad cinema aficionados, renowned for its technical ineptness and anti-eroticism. You can read appreciations at AV Maniacs, Movies About Girls, Radiation-Scarred Reviews, Vault of Buncheness and more AV Maniacs. If you enjoy watching bizarro “how did this ever get made?” terrible movies, you’ll enjoy Bat Pussy. Otherwise, it’s really just terrible.

The film opens with a long scene of Buddy and Sam getting busy in a dingy cabin set. Even by the looser standards of 1970s porn, Buddy and Sam are physically unappealing specimens. Ratcheting down the eroticism further, they spend most of their time bickering and trading insults. Something Weird’s blurb captures the vibe: “When their mouths aren’t busy chewing on the lower portion of each other’s anatomy, they are babbling away at one another like two escaped mental patients. … Snappy lines include: ‘You wouldn’t know how to eat someone if you were doing your grandmother’ and ‘My horoscope says I’m gonna fuck you in the nose.'”

Eventually we cut to “Bat Pussy Headquarters”, where Dora senses a crime being committed, changes into her Bat Pussy costume, then travels across Gotham City on a rubber Hoppity Hop ball.

Bat Pussy finds Buddy and Sam in bed with a camera and accuses the couple of shooting an illegal porno flick. Then Bat Pussy abandons crimefighting, strips naked and joins Buddy and Sam for a threesome.

And that’s pretty much it.

The identities of the filmmakers and stars remain a mystery. Surviving prints have no credits. The actors all sport thick deep South accents, providing the only real clue as to where it was made. Something Weird Video salvaged Bat Pussy and released it on VHS, then DVD, now download.

There might have been earlier superhero smut on film. We can’t reliably call anything the “first” this or that, since so much porn and sexploitation was disposable and undocumented. But as far as we know, the genre began with Bat Pussy.

Pervy political junkies rejoice! Filly Films (motto: “A Lesbian Company”) presents the must-see political sex scandal porn parody of the year in Between the Headlines: A Lesbian Porn Parody.

The scandal begins with a wild White House romp between Hillary and Michelle (no last names, please), played by Nina Hartley and Lotus Lain. A staffer (Vanessa Veracruz) inadvertently spies the power coupling. What to do? Tell the media or keep it secret?

Fans of MSNBC will enjoy Lily Cade’s turn as “Rachel M”, while fans of Fox News will thrill to Aaliyah Love playing “Megyn K”. (Or maybe they’ll be pissed off. Who knows?) The cast also includes Zoey Monroe, Aiden Starr and Ela Darling. Directed by Lily Cade.

Nerdporn overload! Two studios have released Doctor Who porn parodies on DVD: The Doctor from Brazzers, and Doctor Whore from WoodRocket.

Doctor Whore is directed by Lee Roy Myers. It first appeared in installments at his funky tube site WoodRocket. The cast includes April O’Neil, Tara Lynn Foxx, Jodi Taylor, Ava Dalush, Skin Diamond, Brian Street Team, Kris Slater, Richie Calhoun and Aaron Wilcoxxx.

WoodRocket has done a great job promoting its parodies with geek culture sites. Lee Roy Myers told an interviewer for The Mary Sue, “Our team is made up of fans of Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, Star Wars, Star Trek, and pretty much every interesting Sci Fi, fantasy, comedy, horror, cartoon, or adventure, television shows, movies, comic books, and games. I think the future of porn will resemble erotic fan-fiction: a combination of pop culture and mainstream entertainment and sex and nudity.” Sounds good to me.

The Brazzers parody simply titled The Doctor also debuted in installments on network site Pornstars Like It Big earlier this year. Brazzers contract woodsman Danny D. stars as the Timelord in three long scenes with costars (scene one) Franceska Jaimes, (scene two) LouLou, (scene three) Georgie Lyall, Leigh Darby and Victoria Summers.

Three previous Doctor Who porn parodies appeared around 2005-2006, all made in the UK: a softcore TV series called Doctor Screw; Dr. Loo and the Filthy Phaleks starring Alicia Rhodes; and Abducted by the Daleks, which the BBC successfully blocked from commercial release on copyright grounds.

The movie Vampire Academy was a huge bomb, scoring under 10% at Rotten Tomatoes and grossing under $10 million before quickly disappearing from theaters. No sequel is planned. The studio didn’t even bother faking a real-world romance between the stars.

So it’s not entirely clear if Hustler’s new Lesbian Vampire Academy is supposed to be a porn parody or not. Maybe it’s just good barely legal girl/girl smut with fake blood and fangs, and the similar titles are mere coincidence?

Researching a project on superhero porn, I recently stumbled across this oddity: Bathman dal pianeta Eros, a very silly 1982 Batman porn parody made in Italy. The title translates to Bathman from Planet Eros.

Mark Shannon in the lead role wears the classic Adam West Batman costume, except his cowl and gloves are a brighter shade of blue.

The filmmakers take major liberties with the Batman legend. For one thing, Bathman comes from outer space here, from the planet Eros. And instead of a young male ward/sidekick, Bathman has a girlfriend named Klito Bell, secret identity of Bathbaby, who also hails from Planet Eros.

The alien heroes have gotten lazy and let their crimefighting slide, allowing gangs led by Penguin, Joker and Catwoman to run wild in Gotham.

The masters of planet Eros send a robot to Earth to whip Bathman and Bathbaby back into shape. (This guy reminds me of the Great Gazoo.)

The robot’s ingenious plan involves inviting all the heroes and criminals to a giant orgy. That works, and peace returns to Gotham.

For whatever reason, a recent DVD reissue changed the awesome original title to the boring, less descriptive Klito Bell. Sadly, this film is not currently available on Region 1 DVD, and none of our VoD affiliates have it. Unofficial copies of varying quality are around if you look. Hustler has released This Ain’t Fast & Furious XXX. The box promises “All star cast – ANAL – and fast cars!” and we would expect no less.

That all-star cast includes Ryan Ryans, Mischa Brooks, Aimee Black, Cassandra Cruz, Sasha Hart and Xander Corvus. Directed by Andre Madness.

There’s a new Fast and Furious movie coming out in spring 2015, the one that got delayed when Paul Walker died. Hustler decided not to wait, for whatever reason.

Not surprisingly, since guys who like porn also tend to like shiny cars going fast, there have been many Fast and Furious porn parodies over the years — Slick 2: Fast and Furious by Jim Powers; the French-language Fuck and Furious; and Rocco Siffredi’s Furious Fuckers series, which had motorcycles rather than cars.

Seduction Cinema has been making campy softcore porn parodies since the 1990s. Their movies show up overnight on pay cable channels sometimes, though IMHO they’re much more fun than the usual Skinemax fare. They’ve done superhero films, fantasy epics, all manner of horror films, knockoffs of recent Hollywood blockbusters, all mostly an excuse for lots of full-frontal nudity and silliness. Their breakout star was dreamy redhead pixie Misty Mundae. (In case it’s not obvious, I’m a fan.)

To celebrate Halloween season, we present a guide to the vampire films of Misty Mundae.

Vampire Strangler (1999)

Why would a vampire need to strangle anyone? Vampire Strangler is a supercheap, witless, technically incompetent porn flick. It’s remembered today solely for Misty Mundae’s first and only hardcore scene, some oral sex with costar/director/then-boyfriend William Hellfire. Mundae made a dozen more films with Hellfire over the next few years, all softcore with simulated sex except for that one scene.

If Vampire Strangler sounds like something you absolutely must have, Factory 2000 recently released a special two-DVD collector’s edition.

My Vampire Lover (2002)

By 2001, Misty Mundae moved to Seduction Cinema and quickly became a cult star. Early on she played the role of “Catholic schoolgirl” in My Vampire Lover, which was later re-issued under the title K-Sex: Lesbians from a Different Planet. This film is virtually plotless girl-girl softcore from start to finish, so it doesn’t really matter whether the lesbians are supposed to be vampires or aliens.

An Erotic Vampire in Paris (2002)

Misty Mundae starred in An Erotic Vampire in Paris as an innocent American girl, paired with Tina Krause as a jaded, predatory creature of the night. The film is basically a series of long Mundae/Krause forbidden love scenes. William Hellfire has a small role, and Mundae and Hellfire collaborated on soundtrack song “Every Baby Needs a Da Da Daddy”.

Vampire Vixens (2003)

The following year, Misty Mundae starred in Vampire Vixens. This was ostensibly a sequel to Seduction Cinema’s The Vampire’s Seduction from 1998, well before Mundae joined the studio. Trust me, you won’t have any trouble following the plot here even if you missed the original.

The Sexy Adventures of Van Helsing (2004)

Though not listed on the box cover, Misty Mundae has a small role in this Seduction Cinema knockoff of Van Helsing. She’s one of the naked vampire minions in scene one.

Lust for Dracula (2005)

Misty Mundae plays Mina Harker battling Darian Caine as Dracula in this modern-day adaptation. Can she keep the horny immortal occupied until daybreak?

If softcore leaves you cold, you’ll probably find all this pointless. But if Misty Mundae makes you swoon, these are all must-see masterpieces.

Anastasia Pierce Productions continues its series of superheroine cosplay fetish parodies with Scarlet Witch vs Ms. Marvel and Spider-Woman.

There has been a small but thriving superheroine bondage fetish niche for many years — usually very low-budget, usually all-girl, with varying degrees of explicitness. Clips4sale has thousands of superheroine scenes listed. HotMovies has a handful of titles like Superheroines Roped & Ravished and Superheroines in Peril. So these latest Anastasia Pierce releases have a long underground tradition behind them.

Burning Angel has a history of celebrating Halloween with horror porn spoofs. This year they released two of their classics together on DVD and video-on-demand, The Craft XXX and Dong of the Dead.

Both of these originally appeared at BurningAngel.com a few years back. Until now, that has been the only place to see them. They posted a SFW trailer for The Craft XXX (then called The Shaft, though The Craft XXX is really a better title) at YouTube in October 2010.

In the same spirit, they gave us The Walking Dead XXX in 2013. Some free promo vids: clip one, clip two, clip three, clip four, the making of.

The year before, their big Halloween flick was Fuckenstein: clip one, clip two, clip three, whole film.

Heading even further back into the Burning Angel parody archives, we find Evil Head spoofing Evil Dead … in 2006, Joanna Angel played the Linda Blair role in The XXXorcist … and one of the studio’s very first releases back in 2005, Re-Penetrator.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 comes out this weekend, the third of four planned movies based on the dystopian young adult novel trilogy.

And for whatever reason, the porn industry has once again failed to tag along with a Hunger Games porn parody.

What the hell is wrong with these people?

The first two movies both topped $400 million in North American box office. The third movie will probably do the same.

Recent events suggest there’s a huge audience out there eager to see Katniss naked.

And the plot premise of the Hunger Games series just cries out for XXX reinterpretation. A bunch of cute, athletic teenagers from the sticks exploited by decadent, jaded big-city scumbags for scuzzy entertainment value — that sounds a lot like, well, the porn industry. Dump the violent fight-to-the-death angle, replace it with lots of sex, voila.

There have been a few Hunger Games-themed porno titles, but these have mostly been cheapo releases with no real parody content beyond the title puns and box covers:

There will be one more Hollywood movie in November 2015, plenty of time for Axel Braun or Lee Roy Myers or someone to step up.

Adult Video News has announced the nominees for the 2015 AVN Awards. They cut back the number of parody categories this year — no more separate “comedy parody” and “drama parody” categories, no more “best actor/actress in a parody”.
